Overview

Acre Prime Inc. is hiring an experienced Finishing Grader Operator for an immediate start regrading gravel alleyways throughout Calgary. This position is specifically focused on regrading existing gravel alleyways. The operator will be responsible for producing a smooth, properly drained finished surface while working around garages, driveways, fences, utilities, garbage bins and active residential traffic.

Duties

- Regrading and finishing existing gravel alleyways
- Restoring proper crowns, crossfalls and drainage
- Cutting out potholes, washboarding and uneven areas
- Blending gravel into driveways, approaches and existing surfaces
- Maintaining appropriate grades around garages, gates and property entrances
- Working carefully in narrow spaces and around private property




- Coordinating with truck drivers, equipment operators and ground crews
- Completing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintaining a clean, consistent finished product throughout each alley
- Knocking down any windrows and keeping ajoining surfaces clean

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating a motor grader in a finishing capacity
- Experience grading gravel roads, alleyways, parking lots or similar confined areas
- Able to establish proper drainage, crowns and smooth tie-ins by eye and grade
- Strong control of the machine when working close to buildings, fences and vehicles
- Able to work efficiently without sacrificing the finished product
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Dependable and available to start immediately

This is not an entry-level grader position. Applicants must have proven finishing experience and be capable of producing a clean, properly drained gravel surface with minimal supervision. Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
