Job purpose

As a Food and Beverage Manager at Cobble Beach, you are responsible for the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. You must possess expertise of all food and beverage offerings within the establishment. You will be expected to present yourself in a professional manner, reflecting the upscale setting of your workplace.

Special attention should be paid to providing an exceptional customer experience during all steps of service as well as maintaining a team atmosphere with your peers on both the service and culinary teams to achieve your common goal.

· Be Responsible for Costing, labor percentages and monitoring controls.

· Be able to create and impressive wine list/ cocktail list/ beer list.

· Responsible for the overall atmosphere of the restaurant

· Effectively assists in areas of Hospitality needing immediate attention (host, servers assistant, bartending, answering phones, front desk, beverage cart, banquets, MOD)

· Constant Communication with Assistant General Manager regarding concerns, ideas, and sales progress in Sweetwater restaurant

· Contant Communication with fellow managers of the Food and Beverage Department including Executive Chef and Sales and Events Manager.

· Ordering of all products needed for front of house and ensuring that all staff have products necessary for successful selling.

· Excel at customer service with all guests, convenors, and fellow employees

· Completion of all administrative duties deemed necessary for Front of House and accounting.

· Able to Train steps of Service, ensuring no steps are missed.

· Ensure guest satisfaction/ perform consistent unparalleled service to all guests.

· Mentor front of house servers with product knowledge, service standards, policies





· Uphold policies/procedures as required.

· Assistance with shift coverage in the event of unforeseen changes

· Professionally deal with customer concerns/issues using Empower to Please

· Keep a clean/ tidy workplace/meticulous and set events/ complete all side duties daily.

· Recommend wines/ cocktails understanding flavor profiles.

· Stock, organize, clean restaurant workstations.

· Answer phone / make reservations/ organize seating.

· Knowledge of Cobble Beach Resort/ history/ all amenities on site

· Setting up front of house staff for success with knowledge of tools/features to up-selling

· Understands that Electronic Communication / Surveillance Cameras Policies

· Follow Purchase Order Policy, ensure inventory sheet is up to date and invoices are up to date.

· Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed in Sweetwater Restaurant and events.

Qualifications

· Smart Serve Certification

· 1-3 years leadership experience

· Food and wine knowledge

· 3-5 year of experience in a restaurant setting

· Experience with OpenTable & Jonas software an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
