Spa Receptionist / Guest Experience Coordinator — Part Time

Our guests come to us for genuine results and a calm, considered experience — and our front desk is where that experience begins and ends.

The Role

This is not a passive front desk position. Our receptionist is the first voice a guest hears and the last person they speak with before leaving, which makes it the single most significant sales role in the spa. We're looking for someone who is warm and unhurried with guests but confident recommending the treatment, product, or membership that will actually help them — and who is comfortable being measured on it.

What You'll Do

Guest experience

- Greet guests warmly, manage arrivals and departures, and keep the reception area calm, clean, and on-brand
- Answer calls, emails, and online enquiries promptly and professionally
- Manage the booking system: scheduling, confirmations, rescheduling, cancellations, and waitlists
- Process payments, gift cards,



and packages accurately; open and close the till
- Handle guest concerns with composure and escalate appropriately

Sales and revenue

- Consult with guests to understand their goals and recommend the right treatments, add-ons, and series packages
- Sell and explain our membership program, and support member retention and renewals
- Drive retail sales of Eminence Organic, DMK, Jane Iredale, and Merben products, including home-care recommendations that support treatment results
- Rebook guests before they leave — every visit, every time
- Convert enquiries into bookings and follow up on unconverted leads
- Promote gift cards, seasonal promotions, and packages
- Meet or exceed individual monthly targets for retail, membership, and rebooking

Support

- Maintain accurate client records, intake forms, and consent documentation
- Assist with inventory counts, product displays, restocking, and merchandising
- Coordinate with therapists and estheticians to keep the day running smoothly
- Support light administrative tasks and reporting as required

What You Bring

Required

- 1+ years of sales experience with demonstrated results — spa, salon, wellness, beauty retail, aesthetics,



or fitness membership sales strongly preferred
- Proven comfort with consultative selling: asking questions, making recommendations, and closing without pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong organizational skills and accuracy with bookings, payments, and records
- Comfort with spa/salon booking software and point-of-sale systems
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Professional, polished presentation aligned with a premium wellness brand
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to have

- Working knowledge of skincare ingredients, treatment protocols, or product lines such as Eminence Organic
- Experience selling memberships or recurring-revenue programs
- Familiarity with the Kensington/Calgary wellness market
- Esthetics or wellness certification

What Success Looks Like In your first 90 days, you'll know our full treatment and product menu, be recommending confidently rather than tentatively, and be consistently hitting your rebooking and retail targets — with guests who feel advised, not sold to.
