Position: Full-time Accounting Coordinator
Work Location: Diocesan Centre - 1070 Waterloo Street, London, ON N6A 3Y2.
Commitment: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Compensation: Annual compensation of $41,000–$55,000. Placement within this range is commensurate with relevant industry experience, qualifications (education, skills) and/or skilled designations. This position is eligible for participation in the lay staff benefits and pension plans.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Coordinator ensures accurate and timely financial transactions including, accounts receivable, account reconciliations; payroll preparation and assisting with month-end, quarterly and year-end processes, while ensuring compliance with diocesan policies and applicable legislation.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
· Oversee ADP payroll system updates and ensure the system is properly set up and being used effectively.
· Provide guidance and support as required to other ADP users within the Diocese.
· Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for the Diocesan Centre paid lay staff and clergy using ADP WFN.
· Process all incoming cheques and EFT’s, prepare invoices and reconcile accounts receivable.
· Provide accounting support to parishes as required.
· Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, and variance analysis.
· Review parish financial statements,
and ensure compliance with diocesan policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
· Account reconciliation and analysis.
· Other duties as assigned by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Completion of a post-secondary diploma in accounting.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting position.
· Prior direct experience processing payroll using an established payroll system (i.e. ADP).
· Direct experience using ADP WFN is an asset.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Full working knowledge of all aspects of accounting including the completion of accurate and timely financial statements.
· Prior experience working with Sage Intacct is preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related applications.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate professionally by telephone, email, and in person.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Professional representative of the Diocese of London at all times with an understanding of and desire to support and promote the mission of the Diocese of London.
A police record check as deemed suitable by the Diocese of London will be required of the successful candidate.
