Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly service to enhance their visit
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including food preparation areas and equipment
- Handle cash transactions accurately, giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist in food preparation tasks, ensuring food safety standards are upheld at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar point-of-sale technology
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
