Position Overview The General Labourer is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse. Key duties include removing and breaking down cardboard, disposing of waste and recycling, sweeping floors, and ensuring aisles and racking areas remain transparent and safe. The role also involves operating a compactor, following all safety protocols, and performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

- Remove empty boxes, packaging, and cardboard from racking.
- Break down and cut cardboard boxes for recycling.
- Organize the racking area to ensure items are neat and aisles are clear.




- Collect and dispose of waste and recycling in designated areas.
- Sweep and keep warehouse floors, aisles, and dock areas clean and free from debris.
- Ensure recycling is stacked neatly and ready for pickup or disposal.
- Report any hazards, spills, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear PPE as required.
- Operate compactor to dispose of cardboard and dispose of regular waste
- Any other duties required by the supervisor in charge

Qualifications & Skills

- 1+ years of Distribution experience
- Be proficient in English – both written and oral
- Be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift/move packages up to 40lbs throughout an entire workday
- Be computer literate and proficient with MS Windows
- Be able to work under extremely tight deadlines
- Be highly skilled in problem-solving, planning, and organizing
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Be efficient and accurate, with a strong attention to detail
