POSTION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Geologists and Project Geologists, the Geotechnician will be primarily responsible for supporting advanced-stage exploration activities at the AurMac Project in central Yukon. This is a fly-in/fly-out, site-based role on a regular rotational schedule for the duration of the 2026 Exploration Program running from March through November.

The key areas of responsibility for the role are: to assist Logging Geologists in drill core data collection, the collection of samples for assay, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the highest standards of quality in all aspects of work. Additionally, the Geotechnician is responsible for ensuring a smooth and timely workflow in the core shack, lifting and moving core boxes, conducting drill site visits and inspections, as well as various other core shack tasks.

Our ideal candidate will have a dedicated commitment to workplace health and safety and have a demonstrated ability to complete complex work tasks under time pressure. They will also have the ability to follow detailed instructions and anticipate additional direction and tasks delegated by the Logging Geologists. Office and administrative expectancies include proficient data entry and management, and working with various software such as MS Office (Word, Excel), and DHLogger.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Understand and collect geotechnical data under supervision of the Logging Geologist
- Work closely with the team to complete work in an organized, efficient, and timely manner
- Perform repetitive, detail-oriented tasks for extended periods of time
- Operate with a high degree of flexibility under demanding workloads and time constraints
- Actively contribute to our strong safety culture by ensuring all exploration activities are carried out in full compliance with Banyan’s Health and Safety policies and Environmental Sustainability standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, however on the job training will be provided
- Working towards a B.Sc.



in geology/geoscience from an accredited university is an asset
- Robust attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to seek clarification and guidance from supervisors when procedures or tasks are unclear
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of flexibility, adapt effectively to a fast-paced and high-demand work environment
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding communication and time management skills
- Ability to work in challenging physical environments in all weather with the physical ability required for working in mountainous terrain and harsh winter conditions
- Physically capable of safely lifting, carrying, and handling core boxes and other items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work and live in a remote camp setting for extended periods
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid Canadian Class 5 Driver’s License
- Valid Level 1 First Aid Certification

COMPENSATION: Competitive day rates based on experience level + End of Season Bonus. All travel expenses, as well as room and board on site are fully paid. *Preference will be given to candidates based out of Yukon Territory.
