Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in our Long Term Care and Supportive Living facility. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality care to our residents with diverse health needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with meals.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper dosage and timing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive setting.




- Clean and maintain living spaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for residents.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, supporting residents in mobility and transfers.
- Monitor residents health status and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Qualifications

- Current registration with CLHA
- Knowledge of medication administration practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents with mobility challenges.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques is beneficial.
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Provide current clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check

Pay: $22.56-$28.15 per hour
