Health Studio Manager With Some Duties as a Reformer Pilates Instructor
Studio VERSŌ is seeking an experienced Health Studio Manager to oversee daily studio operations, support the development of our programs and services, and supervise members of our team. This position also includes Reformer Pilates instruction and program development.
This is a permanent, full time position based at our studio in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Responsibilities
Studio Management and Leadership
- Manage the daily operations of the health and fitness studio
- Develop and manage studio programs and services
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for studio programs
- Supervise and support approximately 5–10 team members
- Assist with employee scheduling, onboarding, mentorship and ongoing development
- Support internal systems, studio organization and overall operational flow
- Collaborate with Studio VERSŌ’s leadership team on program growth and client experience
- Help maintain Studio VERSŌ’s operational standards, values and culture
Reformer Pilates Instruction and Program Development
- Teach Reformer Pilates group classes and one-on-one private sessions
- Teach and supervise clients’ exercise routines
- Select appropriate exercises, equipment settings and modifications based on clients’ abilities and needs
- Deliver clear, technique-driven instruction grounded in Reformer Pilates methodology and safe movement principles
- Develop and refine progressive Reformer Pilates programming for different experience levels and abilities
- Support the safe, inclusive and accessible use of Reformer equipment
- Exercise regularly to maintain the physical ability and fitness required for instruction
Qualifications
- College-level education in Physical Education, Kinesiology, fitness, recreation or a related field
- At least five years of relevant experience
- Recognized Pilates teacher training or certification, including Reformer Pilates training or certification
- Experience teaching Reformer Pilates in group and private settings
- Current CPR certification
- Current First Aid certification
- Experience developing fitness programs and supporting daily studio operations
- Experience supervising, mentoring or developing team members
- A strong understanding of anatomy, movement mechanics and injury prevention
- Strong communication, organization and leadership skills

Position Details
- Permanent, full-time employment
- 35 hours per week
- $25.00–$35.00 per hour, to be negotiated
- One vacancy
- Start date: As soon as possible
- On-site position in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador
- Work must be completed at the physical studio location; there is no remote-work option
- The schedule may include mornings, evenings and weekends
