Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef, Helper, or Maki Man to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties

- Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with attention to detail and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling ingredients for sushi
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area according to food safety standards
- Support the serving team by ensuring timely delivery of freshly prepared dishes to customers
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen by assisting with meal preparation during busy periods
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, storage,



and sanitation to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of sushi making techniques, including rolling, slicing, and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in sushi preparation such as knives, rice cookers, and refrigeration units
- Previous experience in the food service industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable

Sushi chef : $25 or more/ hr + tip Sushi helper or Maki man: $ 20~ 24 / hr + tip
