When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada. Join us on event day in your local community. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability.
Description The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5K or 1K walk or run held annually to support breast cancer research and care across Canada. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support outreach and promotion efforts at the 2026 Mississauga Hong Kong Festival. This is a great opportunity to engage with the community, raise awareness, and encourage participation in one of Canada’s largest fundraising events.
Tasks for this role include:
- Conducting outreach to festival attendees by sharing information about the event
- Promoting event registration and encourage community participation
- Distributing promotional materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, merchandise)
- Representing the organization in a friendly, qualified, and engaging manner
- Assisting with booth setup, organization,
and takedown as needed

By aiding in promotional efforts for the CIBC Run for the Cure this year and uniting your community together for the breast cancer cause, you are helping us ensure we can continue to fund ground-breaking breast cancer research and clinical trials. Thanks to these investments in research and clinical trials, approximately 90% of women will survive at least 5 years after a breast cancer diagnosis.
