Contract Housekeeper The Mews at Salem Village Ltd. is an independent apartment building for seniors aged 55 and over, located in Leduc, Alberta.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Contract Housekeeper to provide cleaning services for the common areas of our residence.

Position Details

- Approximately 8 hours per week
- Approximately 32 hours per month
- Adaptable working hours, to be arranged with management
- One-year renewable service contract
- Additional compensation will be provided for cleaning the guest suite and resident suites following renovations
- Anticipated start date: September 2026

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, entrances, lounges and other shared spaces
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Dust and clean surfaces
- Clean common-area washrooms
- Empty garbage and recycling containers
- Clean windows, doors and other high-touch areas as required
- Clean the guest suite when required
- Complete post-renovation cleaning of resident suites when required
- Notify management of maintenance concerns or safety hazards
- Complete occasional additional cleaning duties as requested

Qualifications

- Previous housekeeping or commercial-cleaning experience is preferred




- Experience working with seniors is considered an asset
- Dependable, trustworthy and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Respectful and professional when interacting with residents
- Able to safely perform the physical duties of the position

Requirements

- Proof of commercial general liability insurance
- Workers’ Compensation Board coverage or confirmation of exemption
- Criminal record check
- References
- Cleaning supplies and equipment, unless otherwise arranged with management
