About The Role The HR Specialist, Talent & Programs at Binnie is a vital member of the Human Resources team, responsible for supporting and executing key people initiatives across various HR functions. This role offers a dynamic blend of strategic planning and hands-on implementation, ideal for a professional passionate about shaping positive workplace experiences.

The successful candidate will partner closely with organizational leaders to develop and manage talent acquisition, compensation, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), learning and development, and employee engagement programs. They will play a pivotal role in enhancing Binnie's employer brand, streamlining recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with employment standards in BC and Alberta. The position involves analyzing HR metrics, designing impactful programs, and fostering an inclusive culture that aligns with the company’s values.

Qualifications Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of progressive HR experience within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Prior expertise should include talent acquisition, learning and development, organization design, or total rewards.

A relevant degree or HR certification is required, complemented by a comprehensive understanding of employment standards, laws, and regulations in BC and Alberta. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, project management capabilities, and effective communication skills. Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, along with strong relationship-building skills, are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for designated positions, collaborating with hiring managers to identify workforce needs, craft job postings, assess candidates, and facilitate selection.
- Enhance Binnie's employer branding and candidate experience by refining recruitment strategies and ensuring a positive, engaging process.
- Analyze and report on talent acquisition, compensation, DEI metrics, and other HR data to identify trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and administer compensation and total rewards programs, including salary benchmarking, pay equity analysis, transparency reporting, and annual compensation planning activities.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve learning and development programs tailored for managers and employees across the organization.




- Support the development and execution of DEI strategies, initiatives, and employee engagement activities to promote an inclusive workplace culture.
- Partner with organizational leaders and employees to implement people programs, provide guidance on HR best practices, and ensure a consistent, positive employee experience.
- Contribute to strategic HR projects such as employee engagement, recognition programs, and organizational development efforts.
