Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will operate industrial sewing machines to decorate, assemble, and perform connected sewing operations in the production of high-quality materials. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate single, double, or multiple industrial sewing machines to assemble, decorate, and finish materials according to production specifications.
- Perform connected sewing operations to produce quality finished products.
- Inspect materials and completed work for defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues.
- Report production concerns, equipment issues, or quality defects to the department supervisor.
- Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently while following company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to maintain production schedules and improve workflow.
- Communicate production progress, challenges, and updates throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position. Applicants must be capable of performing the following duties:

- Regular heavy lifting of fabrics, materials, and finished products is required.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pulling, and moving heavy fabric rolls and production materials.
- Traveling up and down stairs throughout the workday is required to complete assigned tasks.
- Standing for extended periods while operating sewing equipment.
- Repetitive hand, arm,



and foot movements while using industrial sewing machines.

Employees are encouraged to request assistance when lifting materials that exceed their safe lifting ability. Safe lifting practices must always be followed.

Work Environment

This position is production-based and operates under strict deadlines and tight manufacturing schedules. Candidates must be able to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy. The ability to prioritize tasks, remain productive under pressure, and contribute positively to a team environment is essential.

Qualifications

- Previous industrial sewing machine experience is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to operate single, double, or multiple-needle industrial sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing the essential job duties described above.

Important Notice This position requires regular heavy lifting, handling of heavy fabrics, and frequent use of stairs throughout the workday. HOURS

Monday to Friday 8 to 4:30 (hours may change pending on the needs of business)

The Candidate must currently reside in Canada and have valid work permit.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
