iKidz Childcare Centre is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and professional Infant Room Educator to join our team. We are a licensed Islamic childcare centre committed to providing high-quality, play-based early learning in a structured, caring, and faith-based environment.

Our program is inspired by FLIGHT, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia approaches, with a focus on responsive caregiving, play-based learning, independence, and meaningful exploration. We are especially interested in educators who are passionate about working with infants and providing a warm, loving environment where children feel secure, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, responsive, and nurturing care for infants (12–18 months).
- Build secure, trusting relationships with each child through responsive caregiving.
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate sensory and play-based experiences.
- Support infants' cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
- Follow individualized routines for feeding, diapering, naps, and transitions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Observe, document, and support children's developmental milestones and learning.




- Build positive relationships with families through daily communication and collaboration.
- Follow all Alberta licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies.

Qualifications

- ECE Level 2 or Level 3 Certification.
- Valid Child Care First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
- Must be bilingual in English and Arabic.
- Knowledge of Islamic values and experience working in an Islamic childcare setting is considered a strong asset.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Patient, compassionate, reliable, and passionate about early childhood education.

Job Details
