Click the link below: We Are Boshart [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upikQ6Rxl8g&t;=6s] SHIFT: Afternoons (Full-time): Monday to Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am This includes a $1.00/hr shift premium POSITION SUMMARY: The Injection Moulding Operator will ensure that quality products are being manufactured, as well as sort, pack, and assemble the moulded components as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Machine Operation and Maintenance Efficient operation of machinery, including recycling equipment.
Ensure continuous material feed and proper setup for production runs.
Prepare work areas for upcoming production changes and conduct necessary trials.
Component
Handling and Assembly Sorting, assembling, and packaging components with accurate labeling.
Operating sonic welding machines to assemble and weld components, adhering to safety protocols.
Quality
Assurance and Reporting Managing the disposal of defective products and reporting quality issues to supervisors.
Knowledge
Development Developing expertise in machine operation, data processing, and material handling.
Enhancing skills in troubleshooting machinery and auxiliary equipment. Teamwork and Compliance Working well independently or as part of a team.
Operating confidently in a fast-paced environment, following all company policies, procedures,
and safety requirements to maintain a clean and productive workspace. . Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, applicable legislation, regulations, statutes, and departmental policies/procedures/practices and operational guidelines
Perform other related duties, as assigned, that are in accordance with job responsibilities and/or necessary departmental or corporate objectives. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Prerequisites
High school or equivalent.
One year’s experience in a manufacturing or related environment preferred.
Experience with the properties and behaviors of a variety of plastic materials.
Knowledge of proper operation of manufacturing and material handling equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical Environment: Work is conducted indoors in a standard manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures depending on the season. (100%) Physical Effort: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Physical strength and stamina required to handle physically demanding movements like pushing, pulling, bending down and lifting of packages. Lifting 60 lb.
boxes may be required occassionaly.
Some sedentary work. Requires standing or walking for a long period of time.
Sensory Attention
Requires the ability to utilize mathematical skills and the ability to coordinate hand and eyes rapidly and accurately in using equipment. (100%) Safety Protocol:
Requires wearing steel-toed shoes or boots to prevent injuries.
- Hearing protection is required when working in or moving through all Injection Moulding areas. This does not imply that these requirements are the exclusive requirements of this position. This position requires performance of additional related duties as needed.
