Window Covering Installer

Location: Vancouver, BC

About the Company

Our company is a growing home furnishing company specializing in custom blinds, shades, drapery, shutters, wallpaper, flooring, upholstery, furniture, and custom home décor solutions. We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Window Covering Installer to join our installation team.

Responsibilities

- Install custom blinds, roller shades, zebra shades, cellular shades, Roman shades, shutters, drapery hardware, curtains, and motorized window coverings.
- Review work orders and installation instructions before arriving at the job site.
- Take accurate field measurements when required.
- Ensure all products are installed safely, securely, and according to manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and adjust products to ensure proper operation.
- Explain product operation and maintenance to customers.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
- Load, unload, transport, and protect products during delivery and installation.
- Complete installation reports and collect customer sign-offs.
- Maintain installation tools, equipment, and company vehicles in valuable condition.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use proper protective equipment.
- Assist with warehouse and showroom duties when required.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience installing window coverings (blinds, shades,



shutters, or drapery).
- Experience using power tools and hand tools safely.
- Ability to read measuring tapes and installation drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience installing motorized window coverings.
- Familiarity with major brands such as Hunter Douglas or similar products.
- Basic carpentry or finishing experience.
- Experience working in residential and commercial settings.
