Adelantar Consulting is based in Edmonton and provides civil-environmental engineering and consulting services principally in the field of industrial waste management. Adelantar is looking for a Geometric Design Technologist Lead to join our small team-oriented group for an in-office role. You have an affinity for technology, innovation and a strong spatial understanding that lends itself to the engineering field.

Core to the role is AutoCAD drafting and Civil 3D modelling skills, which form an essential part of our engineering work flows. In addition, you would be exposed to and integrated into a number of other technology pursuits, depending on your skill set and interest.

These include:

- Executing drone flights
- Managing geospatial data, and creating visualizations that simplify and communicate design or operational aspects of our work.




- It may also include development of new tools or technology areas that may become integrated components of our work flows.

Adelantar is currently implementing AI tools in an intentional manner; these tools are designed to complement and assist the technical team. We recognize the central role of humans in the loop when using AI and are looking for individuals with strong critical thinking skills. Depending on your nature, the role could include business development opportunities, client communication, and project management.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

- Demonstrated level of proficiency through education (e.g. Technology Diploma or relevant degree / diploma) and related experience
- Previous AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting experience

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

- Familiarity with drone survey data and photogrammetry
- Drone videography experience
- Video editing experience
- Familiarity with Global Mapper
- Construction industry experience
- Landfill design experience
- Experience with 3D visualization or rendering software
- Client communication and project management
