About the Role Kent is looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer to support a role in Oil & Gas, Upstream and Refinery,



Chemicals and Mining/SAGD projects.

The Mechanical

Engineer shall have experience in different types of Rotating Equipment and packages in general.

Experience in pumps (API and Non-API, slurry pump), Fan and steam/Gas turbine, chemical injection package, air compressor Packages which includes multi discipline scope will be added value. You will be part of a team responsible for supporting machinery design, troubleshooting, and vendor oversight for operating and new-build facilities. This role combines analytical engineering, client interaction, and field support in a technically demanding environment.

Skills and Responsibilities The Mechanical Engineer shall be fully responsible for deliverables assigned to them.

Liaise with and coordinate with the other engineering disciplines and procurement team.

Participate in all phases of project, including conceptual, FEED, detail design.

Provide construction and commissioning support as required.

Perform job responsibilities under the direction of the Project Mechanical Lead and Project Engineer(s).

Work efficiently and maintain the required technical quality of work produced within the project schedule and budgeted hours.

Prepare specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, review and approve vendor documents and drawings.

Ensure adherence to client and/or company specifications, work instructions, quality processes, governing codes and standards, and good engineering practices.

Responsible for reporting the progress status of the equipment being handled to the Project Mechanical Lead and Project Engineer(s). Interface with Client's representatives and maintain a good relationship throughout the project Be conversant and knowledgeable with the requirement of current legislation and standards e.g., CSA, API, NFPA, ASME Codes and industry Standards, Federal, and Provincial Regulations.

I&C; and Piping Design requirement with respect to mechanical equipment interface Willing to travel to site and vendor shop as per project needs and requirement

Strong team player & ability to handle multi-tasks.

Ability to meet assignment schedule & deliver quality products.

Self-motivated & goal-oriented

Ability to work and perform tasks independently with minimum supervision and guidance.

The Mechanical

Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive relationship with all project personnel, engineering team, and other stakeholders In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently.

All such tasks will be assigned considering the employees’ current workload and with respect to their professional development. Your knowledge/skills, education and experience: Knowledge/Qualification/Training/Certification:

- Mechanical Engineering degree
- Qualified Engineer (P. Eng.) registered with APEGA
- Experience with rotating equipment in SAGD facilities
- Experience in nodal and vibration analysis, machinery troubleshooting and reliability engineering and ability to support site work and field investigations is considered an asset Communication:
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal. Behaviour/Core Competencies:
- Analytical and detail-oriented, able to interpret complex vibration and machinery data
- Confident and technically credible when working with clients and vendors
- Reliable, calm, and solution-focused in high-pressure operational environments HSSEQ: The Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; its clients and the governing authorities of the host country.
