Hickory Dickory Decks is seeking junior carpenters for our expanding Kingston location. As Canada’s leader in low-maintenance decking, we offer the chance to work on a variety of custom decks, gazebos, and other outdoor structures, using supplied plans and materials. Our projects primarily utilize advanced, low-maintenance materials. The position is seasonal, typically running from March through January each year.
Responsibilities
· Construct custom decks and outdoor structures.
· Participate in all aspects of deck construction, including footings, framing, decking, railing, and roof assembly.
· Maintain a clean and organized worksite at all times.
· Engage positively and professionally with homeowners.
· Be available for assigned projects and work diligently through to completion.
Qualifications
· Should have a carpentry related, college level certificate.
· 1–5 years of construction experience required, with specific experience in deck construction preferred.
· Possession of a valid G or G2 driver’s license and access to personal transportation is essential.
· Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
· Demonstrated self-motivated work ethic.
· Ability to read construction plans and apply solid math skills.
· Commitment to high standards of workmanship and reliability.
