Job Summary

We are a new upcoming Indian restaurant with traditional approach to service and food. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations by assisting chefs and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient working environment. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and eager to learn in a rapid-paced kitchen setting.

Duties

- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Support chefs during meal service by ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are readily available.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all kitchen staff and patrons.




- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment before and after service.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Positive communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.75-$18.00 per hour
