Dyck's Equipment & Services Inc. is a small landscaping and excavation company seeking new talent to join and grow with our team.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping Crew Foreman to join our team. This role involves hands-on work/utilizing various equipment and tools in small & medium residential projects, and larger commercial projects. You will also be responsible for coordinating/planning jobs and assigning work to our operators/laborers.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, be a self starter who can work independently, and confidently manage a small team (2-4 individuals) while providing quality communication and updates to management. We are looking for someone who already has experience, and isn't afraid to 'get their hands dirty'.

We do not handle property maintenance (except snow removal in winters), so this isn't a job where you're planting flowers and mowing lawns. We enhance or build residential/commercial spaces from the ground up. Our work is more construction focused. Examples of the jobs we do would be; excavation and removal, leveling and grading, trenching, hardscaping and patio builds, deck & fence work, retaining walls, turf and sod installation, concrete prep, utility dig outs.

Duties

- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators or skid steers for excavation,



grading, and site preparation
- Use hand tools and power tools for various tasks such as digging, cutting, woodwork, and shaping landscapes
- Maintain equipment through routine mechanical checks and minor repairs
- Manage projects from start to finish, including planning the day, coordinating the team, and reporting to management
- Ensure safety protocols are followed by crew during all operations
- Drive trucks and operate/load dump trailers, deck trailers

Experience

- Prior experience with heavy equipment is required (skid steer, mini excavator)
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and basic repair of power tools and machinery is required
- Background in construction or landscaping work is required
- A valid drivers license and clean driving record is required
- Previous foreman or team lead experience is a strong asset, but not required

This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to outdoor project work. We pay $33 - $40 per hour starting, based on your experience

Must own a vehicle, must be reliable.

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
