Dynamics 365 F&O; Lead consultant (retail & POS)

Toronto - hybrid contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead D365 F&O; Functional Consultant specializing in Commerce and Point of Sale (POS) . You will lead the functional design, configuration, and delivery of our enterprise retail solutions. This role focuses on translating retail business processes into optimized D365 configurations without writing code. You will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical development team.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure D365 Commerce modules, including store setups, merchandising, assortment rules, and pricing engines.
- Design POS workflows for Contemporary POS (MPOS) and Cloud POS (CPOS) to maximize store efficiency.
- Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for custom extensions, reports, and third-party integrations.
- Own the testing lifecycle by defining test scenarios,



executing system testing, and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Drive change management by training store managers, back-office users, and core business teams.
- Partner with technical leads to ensure development work aligns exactly with functional specifications.

Required Qualifications · Experience: 5+ years as a D365 F&O; Functional Consultant, completing at least 2 full-lifecycle D365 Commerce/POS implementations.

· Functional Expertise: Deep knowledge of omni-channel retail, order management, loyalty programs, and inventory control.

· POS Mastery: Hands-on experience configuring hardware profiles, visual profiles, and payment connectors in D365.
