Description: Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, cranes, graders, loaders, and dump trucks. This includes working on engines, transmissions, hydraulic and electrical systems, and drivetrains, as well as performing scheduled maintenance and using computerized diagnostic tools to isolate faults.

As Lead

Hand, the successful candidate will also oversee the daily workflow of the shop’s mechanics — assigning and prioritizing work, providing hands-on diagnostic guidance, mentoring apprentices and junior mechanics, and ensuring repairs are completed safely, correctly, and on schedule. This is a working leadership role for someone with a deep command of heavy equipment diagnostics who can take charge of a situation, make sound decisions under pressure, and lead by example on the shop floor. The role requires a 310T or 421A certification, a valid class G license, and the ability to work safely and independently in a rapid-paced construction environment.
