Your Opportunity: Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Day Surgery team.

Hospital currently provides endoscopy and obstetrical services and is expanding its surgical program to include cataract surgery, creating an excellent chance to develop skills in a growing perioperative environment. In this role, you will support all aspects of the day surgery patient experience, including preoperative preparation, patient education, procedural support, recovery care, and discharge planning. As a member of the perioperative team, you will work collaboratively with surgeons, physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide safe, efficient, patient-centered care.

The successful candidate may also provide support to the inpatient unit and Emergency Department during periods of increased workload or temporary Operating Room closures.
