VW Social Club is the centre of food, drinks, and fun at the University of Manitoba.

We are looking for experienced Line Cooks to join our team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working in kitchens, but will hire to train for the right candidate. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, following recipes, and plating dishes according to restaurant standards. The successful candidate will be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of quality.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Experience

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
