Role Description The Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Milton, ON. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring daily freight movements, ensuring optimal routing and on-time delivery across Canada and the United States.

The Logistics

Coordinator will coordinate with drivers, carriers, and customers, manage load assignments, track shipments using real-time systems, and resolve delays or service issues. The role includes maintaining accurate records, supporting inventory and capacity planning, verifying documentation for cross-border compliance, and communicating status updates to internal teams and clients.

Coordinator will collaborate closely with operations,



dispatch, and customer service to support efficient, safe, and cost-effective transportation solutions.

- Strong experience in booking Flatbed, Dry Van and temperature-controlled freight

-Experience in booking dry van and refrigerated freight and LTL and FTL freight

- Manage sourcing and procurement activities related to logistics
- Utilize transportation management systems to optimize freight movements
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance logistics operations
- Collaborate with Carriers for effective supply chain management
- Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking logistics data
- Negotiate rates with vendors and carriers to secure cost-effective solutions
- Communicate with customers via phone/email to provide updates and to respond to inquiries

-Being available for some after-hours tracking and tracing

-Establishing business relations and developing carriers by matching our laneways with their needs

Required Skills

- Proficiency in transportation management systems and logistics software
- Strong understanding of freight operations and supply chain processes
- Experience in process improvement within a logistics environment




- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and be able to multitask
- Robust communication skills, comfortable being on the phone with customers and carriers
- Must demonstrate problem-solving and creative solution skills and work autonomously with little direction
- Must be a team player committed to maintaining desired service levels Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret logistics data, optimize routes, and support cost-effective decision-making.

Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills to coordinate with drivers, carriers, internal teams, and customers.

Candidates should possess customer service skills to manage inquiries, address service issues, and maintain positive client relationships.

Candidates should possess inventory management skills to help track loads, capacity, and shipment status within logistics systems.

Candidates should possess supply chain management skills to understand end-to-end transportation processes and support operational efficiency.

Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking tools, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or supply chain coordination is preferred.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of cross-border documentation and regulatory requirements between Canada and the United States is an asset.
