Your Opportunity:
The Clinic Manager KEC Neurosciences, performs a leadership role in the Kaye Edmonton Clinic (KEC) Ambulatory Care Portfolio and reports directly to the Program Manager Ambulatory Care Programs for Neurosciences, Anemia, Seniors, IBD, Hepatology and ZLC Clinics. This position is responsible and accountable for providing direction, team leadership and organization over clinic activities and in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making unit-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of the KEC Ambulatory Care Portfolio. The Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders which includes but is not limited to Physicians, HR, Financial Services (BAS), and front-line staff - UNA, AUPE GSS/AUX, HSAA, Interdepartmental Partners (i.e. DI, Laboratory Services), University of Alberta partners and AHS Community Partners. The Clinic Manager will foster a high-quality commitment to quality and process improvement and patient & family care focus. Identifying key challenges and opportunities whilst providing leadership to support the development of innovative approaches in ways that enable the achievement of excellent client and family centered care is an important aspect of this role. The Clinic Manger will contribute to the development of the portfolio strategic plan and the establishment of operational priorities. The successful incumbent will be expected to work collaboratively and provide coverage for other clinics outside of Neurosciences but within the ED's portfolio.

Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited nursing education program (BScN), Allied Health Program or equivalent. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or equivalent governing body. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). A minimum of 5 years related clinical experience and 3 - 5 years Management/Leadership experience in an acute health care setting is required.
Additional Required Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years management experience required in acute care or ambulatory setting (within the last 5 years). Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Experience with Quality Improvement Initiatives and Program Development. Demonstrates clinical expertise. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, as well as all members on the interdisciplinary team. Proven record with leading teams, organization and decision-making skills. Ability to push, pull and lift as well as walk between different sites is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of Leadership/Management Development Course. Completion of Change Management Course. Demonstrated participation in practice committees, working groups and research. Experience with Ambulatory Care will be considered an asset. Connect Care Experience. Experience with creating and reading various levels of reports.
