Minimum Requirements
- Engineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T; specifications
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks
- Experience in project management and cost/quote development is an asset
- Knowledge of automotive quality and continuous improvement tools such as APQP and PFMEA
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work overtime as required to support production and customer requirements
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing projects from concept through launch, including feasibility studies, equipment/tooling implementation, validation, PPAP, run-at-rate activities and engineering changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, ergonomics, and equipment performance through process optimization and problem-solving.
- Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing and quality issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, plant layouts, material flow,
labor utilization and workstation ergonomics.
- Coordinate tooling, equipment, and production launch activities to ensure cost, timing and quality objectives are achieved.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flows, PFMEAs, work instructions, layouts and engineering records.
- Investigate manufacturing and quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain related engineering documentation.
- Support automation and manufacturing systems through CAD layout development, PLC troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Provide technical support for customer quotations, capital projects and new business opportunities.
- Adhere to company values, policies, and quality / environmental management system requirements.
- Performs other duties as required.

$80-95k annually
