We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a food processing plant. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on various processing machines and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues, and rectify any problems to minimize downtime.
- Greasing and Lubrication:
- Apply grease and lubricants to machine parts as per the maintenance schedule, ensuring smooth operation and longevity of the equipment.
- Setup of Equipment:
- Assist in the setup and installation of recent machinery and equipment, ensuring all systems are properly integrated and operational.
- Calibrate machines for optimal performance.
- Electromechanical Work:
- Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems, including working on machine panels, sensors,
and control systems.
- Replace or repair defective components and wiring as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with the production team regarding machine status and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and machine panels.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
