Mechanical Assembly Technician (Hydraulics & Heavy Equipment) – Contract Opportunity

Compensation: $20.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and overall suitability for the role.

Ferntree Equipment & Distribution is a Canadian supplier of premium forestry, construction, and land management equipment. We specialize in high-quality European-manufactured attachments including grapple saws, forestry mulchers, tree shears, hydraulic attachments, and replacement wear parts. We proudly serve customers throughout Canada and the United States.

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team. This is a newly created role that begins on a part-time contract basis with the potential to transition to full-time employment as the business grows.

Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence
- Reliable transportation
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn




- Ability to work independently
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting components up to approximately 50 lbs.

Assets (Not Required)
- Experience with hydraulics
- MIG welding
- Heavy equipment, agricultural or forestry equipment
- Mechanical repair
- Forklift certification
- Fabrication experience
