ValleyCare Medical is a collaborative primary care clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages. Our team includes nurse practitioners, pediatricians, registered nurses, and allied health professionals who work together in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
We are currently seeking an experienced, compassionate, and adaptable Full-Time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our clinic team. Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the clinical and administrative aspects of medical office work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork, communication, and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Provide a warm, welcoming experience for patients and families
- Room patients and assist with patient flow throughout the clinic
- Obtain and record patient vitals, including height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure, and vision testing as appropriate
- Conduct urinalysis (urine dip testing) and pregnancy tests
- Handle and transport patient samples following clinic protocols
- Prepare exam rooms and procedure trays, including PAP and IUD setups
- Assist providers with procedures within MOA scope
- Clean and restock exam rooms and clinical spaces
- Monitor supplies and communicate inventory needs
Administrative Responsibilities
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments and waitlists
- Complete patient check-ins and check-outs, providing excellent service
- Maintain accurate patient records and demographics within the EMR (Profile EMR)
- Manage patient consent forms and documentation
- Send patient communications through EMR
- Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls efficiently and professionally
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic medical records systems
- Maintain patient charts with precise inputing of current details
Requirements
- Proven experience as a medical office assistant in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with computers
- Previous experience working with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing appointments and patient information
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
- Office experience in administrative roles within healthcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical office procedures is a plus
Team & Clinic Support
- Support all providers and team members with daily clinic operations
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment
- Contribute positively to a cooperative and respectful workplace culture
What We’re Looking For
- MOA certification and/or equivalent medical office experience
- Experience working in a family practice, primary care, or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable performing both clinical and administrative duties
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable in a busy clinic setting
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute wherever needed
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EMR systems, and patient communication platforms
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Shifts are primarily 8:30am–4:30pm. Additional closing shift coverage (5pm) may occasionally be required to support vacation coverage, sick time, or clinic operational needs.
