Role Description The MIG Welder role at Galt Display Rack is a full-time, on-site position based in Cambridge, ON. The MIG Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components used in retail display systems, following blueprints, drawings, and work orders. Day-to-day tasks include setting up welding equipment, performing MIG welding on various materials, inspecting welds for quality, and making necessary adjustments to ensure strong and clean joints.

The role also involves working safely with shop tools and machinery, collaborating with production team members,



maintaining a tidy work area, and meeting production deadlines while adhering to company quality standards.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid skills in MIG Welding and general Welding techniques.

Candidates should possess experience with Arc Welding and TIG Welding as complementary welding processes.

Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials used in metal fabrication, including properties and appropriate welding methods.

Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.

Candidates should possess a commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.

Candidates should possess good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stand and work with tools for extended periods.

Candidates should possess prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication workplace; relevant welding certifications or trade training are an asset.
