Position Summary Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Mold Maintenance Technician will be responsible for mold set up changeover preventive maintenance troubleshooting repair support and overall mold readiness within the molding operation This role ensures tooling is properly configured maintained and production ready to support safe efficient and reliable manufacturing performance The Mold Maintenance role serves as a key link between molding operations tooling engineering and process engineering by supporting mold reliability minimizing downtime and identifying tooling issues requiring corrective action or escalation PrimaryEssential Responsibilities Perform mold set up and changeovers in coordination with production planning and molding operationsVerify mold configurations tooling components and setup readiness prior to production startPerform mold breakdown and teardown activities following production runsExecute preventive and planned maintenance on molds including cleaning inspection lubrication and replacement of wear componentsInspect molds and components for wear damage or performance concerns including bushings pins inserts fasteners and other critical tooling elementsTroubleshoot mold related production issues and assist in identifying root cause of setup tooling or maintenance concernsCoordinate with Tooling Engineering Molding personnel and third party contractors to resolve tooling issues and support corrective actionsMaintain mold storage inventory tooling records and traceability of tooling componentsDocument maintenance activities repairs inspections and tooling condition using established systems and formsSafely operate cranes hoists forklifts and other lifting equipment for mold movement setup and storageSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on mold reliability setup efficiency PM effectiveness and reduction of downtimeMaintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company procedures safety standards and regulationsTrain and support team members on standardized setup and maintenance procedures as requiredPerform other duties as assigned in support of tooling and molding operationsBe available for other maintenance related activities supporting production needsPerform other duties as assigned in support of maintenance operationsRequired Qualifications Post secondary certificate diploma or Skill trade certification in one of the following; mechanical techniques Millwright Industrial Mechanic or Tool and DieMust have experience in mold setup mold maintenance tooling injection molding or related manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical aptitude complimented with solid troubleshooting and problem solving skillsExperience using hand tools power tools presses and measuring devicesExperience performing basic electrical troubleshooting plumbing repairs mechanical repairs Carpentry and painting and contractor coordinationAbility to identify tooling wear and mechanical issuesWorking knowledge of preventive maintenance practicesAbility to read and follow work instructions procedures and technical documentationAbility to safely operate forklifts cranes and hoistsStrong organizational and documentation skillsGood communication and teamwork skillsBasic computer proficiencyPreferred Qualification Mold repair experienceMillwright or Mechanical experienceSkill Trades Certification Millwright Tool & DieBlueprint readingGD&T; familiarityRoot cause problem solvingLean5S knowledgePhysical Demands Working Conditions Shop environment; climate controlled indoorsProper PPE usedFlexible HoursLight Lifting occasional 25 lbs or less StandingPay Range is typically between 2314 to 3151 per hour Please note the wage information shown above is a general guideline only Salaries are based upon candidate skills experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations Accessibility Statement G&W; Canada Corporation is proud to be an equal opportunity employer We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the communities we serve We welcome and encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds experiences and perspectives In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act accommodation will be provided at any point throughout the hiring process upon request Please let us know if you require any accommodation in respect of any materials or processes used to ensure your equal participation
