About the role The Occupational Therapist (OT) plays a key role in supporting inclusive employment by providing ergonomic, accessibility, and workplace accommodation assessments for job seekers with disabilities and employer partners across Canada.

This role blends occupational therapy expertise with employment service delivery, supporting both job seekers and organizations to identify, implement, and sustain accessible and supportive work environments.

Working within CCRW’s national programs, the OT collaborates with internal teams, employers, and community partners to provide practical, person-centred, and accessible solutions that address workplace barriers and support long-term employment success.

The Occupational Therapist position is a national role that supports CCRW's programs across Canada and requires travel to conduct assessments, deliver workshops, and engage with employers and partners.

Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Job Development and Employer Support:

- Conduct virtual and in-person ergonomic and accessibility assessments
- Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration, trust, and positive working relationships with clients, employers, stakeholders, and colleagues
- Collaborate with employers to identify workplace barriers and support needs
- Apply problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to develop accommodation recommendations that address workplace accessibility challenges and support clients in achieving successful employment outcomes
- Provide guidance on assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and workplace modifications




- Support inclusive hiring, onboarding, retention, and workplace accommodation practices
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with employers and partners to support sustainable employment outcomes and inclusive workplace cultures

General Service Delivery:

- Deliver individualized workplace accessibility and ergonomic assessments
- Prepare clear, accessible, and actionable reports with recommendations
- Support job seekers in implementing accommodation strategies and workplace solutions
- Collaborate with clients and team members on employment planning and job-matching activities
- Deliver workshops, webinars, and training sessions on ergonomics, accessibility, and workplace inclusion
- Ensure services reflect person-first and inclusive practices

Administrative / Research Support:

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in CCRW systems
- Ensure compliance with funder reporting requirements and program standards
- Support program evaluation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop tools, resources, and best practices to promote national program consistency

Qualifications & Experience The qualifications for this role include:

- Registered Occupational Therapist in Canada
- Post-secondary Degree in Occupational Therapy
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of ergonomics and workplace accessibility
- Experience delivering workshops or training
- Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills
- Ability to travel as required

Working hours and Setting

- This is a full-time position with an annual work schedule of approximately 40 weeks per year.




- The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- This role may occasionally require work outside of standard business hours.
- This is a remote position aligned with our Toronto office, located at 1867 Yonge St., Toronto, ON M4S 1Y5. Occasional attendance at the office may be required.
- This role requires the ability and willingness to travel throughout Canada as needed to conduct accessibility assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and deliver workshops. Travel frequency will vary based on client needs.

Compensation Annual Salary: $64,681.76 - $87,464

In addition to the stated salary, employees in this role are eligible for a comprehensive compensation package that includes benefits and other applicable programs, in accordance with CCRW policies and eligibility requirements.
