Join Turning Point Youth Services as an Overnight Youth Worker, providing crucial support in a therapeutic environment. Engage with youth using your expertise in trauma-informed care and relationship-building skills. As a contract youth worker, you will work 21 hours weekly at 106 Redwood Avenue.
This role emphasizes nurturing client relationships, supporting diverse youth, and implementing a strengths-based approach. Your work will include direct care supervision and fostering inclusion while maintaining compliance with mental health regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish therapeutic relationships through effective role modeling
- Assess client mental health needs and provide direct supervision
- Maintain accurate client records and complete administrative tasks
- Promote equity and inclusion within the program
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings Requirements:
- University degree/diploma in Child & Youth Work
- Relevant experience in child and youth care settings
- Positive communication and administrative skills
- Valid certifications in First Aid/CPR and Managing Aggressive Behaviour
