Humphrey’s funeral Home is hiring a Casual Part-time Permanent Funeral Director Assistant at our family run funeral Home in St. Stephen NB. Humphreys Funeral Home is a growing community orientated funeral home, which places the upmost importance on treating our families with respect while honouring their wishes with compassion and honesty.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist funeral directors during visitations, memorial services, and funerals
- Greet and guide families and guests attending services
- Prepare visitation rooms and service areas
- Assist with transferring and care of the deceased (training provided)
- Help with floral arrangements, memorial displays, and service setup
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the funeral home
- Occasionally assist with driving duties (funeral vehicles or transfers)

Qualifications

- Compassionate, respectful, and qualified demeanor
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work calmly in emotional environments
- Reliable and punctual




- Physically capable of lifting and assisting with transfers
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Valid Passport with the ability to cross the United-States Border
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed. A monthly on call schedule is provided,

Position Details Candidates must be prepared to work evenings, weekends and be on call during the night. Candidates must be willing to work sporadic unpredictable hours with little to no notice ahead of time. The hours are truly dependent on funeral home needs and vary drastically day to day – week to week. This is a permanent but part time casual position.
