Part-Time Elementary/High School Tutor

As a tutor, teacher, and mentor at Scholars, you will be responsible for providing superior individualized academic support to our students. You are joining a dynamic team that will work with you to make sure that you make a difference in lives of each and every student you have the opportunity to work with.

Essential Job Functions

- Instruct students on an as-needed basis;
- Report student progress to management;
- Attend training workshops

Requirements

- Strong educational background;
- Experienced in tutoring/mentoring;
- Vulnerable Sector Checks to be completed if not done recently;
- Able to work both as a part of a team and independently;
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities;




- Experience with students in a teaching or tutoring setting;
- Excellent organizational skills

Job Type: Part-time Salary: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4-10 per week

Schedule

- Monday to Thursday and Saturdays

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- OCT Certified (preferred)

Experience:
- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- tutoring: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate

- North York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:
- Tutoring: 2 years (required)
