Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Mississauga, ON

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Pay: $27.50–$30.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk to support payroll processing and accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll administration, invoice processing, accounting software, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

- Collect, review, and verify employee timekeeping information for both union and non-union employees.
- Process payroll accurately, including regular hours, overtime, leaves, bonuses, and commissions.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization before payment.
- Perform accounts payable duties, including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor communication.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as required.




- Assist with accounts receivable processes when needed.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and records.
- Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to complete daily tasks efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using QuickBooks required.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Easy Pay is an asset.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and accounting principles.
- Experience handling both union and non-union payroll is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
