Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working closely with clients in private homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with individuals with disabilities. The Personal Care Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care and compassionate support.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring under supervision
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Help clients with mobility and transfer techniques
- Assist with medical appointments and transportation arrangements when required
- Follow care plans accurately and document client progress or concerns




- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
- Spend a substantial portion of each shift completing computer-based administrative tasks
- Enter and organize information using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar computer programs

Qualifications

- Prior experience in assisted living preferred
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities is an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs safely
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Shifts include the following 8-hour shifts: 8am/4pm, 4pm-12am, 12-8am, 12-hour shifts: 8am-8pm, 8pm-8am
- Valid driver’s license is required for transportation duties
