Purpose of Position: To professionally work as part of a team to provide quality ongoing support for adults with developmental and physical disabilities maximizing their potential in a safe setting.

Personal Support Worker (Casual Part-Time) -Until December 14, 2026

Direct Report: Respite manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To work alongside Luso staff in implementing various activities
- To enhance the Respite stay and create a welcoming home environment during their overnight stays
- To work with clients individually and in small groups while encouraging decision making and independence
- To assist clients during activities, whether it be with verbal cues, hand over hand assistance, encouragement or in any other way that helps clients engage and participate fully in activities
- To provide personal care to clients who require it
- To adhere to all Luso policies and procedures
- To be proactive in ensuring safety for oneself and for others, clients included
- To report any incidents,



injuries or seizure related occurrences to preceptor, supervisor or manager
- To assist with daily tidy-up duties

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience)

- Personal Support Worker Certificate or Health Care Aide, DSW, Foreign Trained Nurse or Caregiver with Life Experience.
- Valid CPR, First Aid certification
- Knowledge of developmental , mental and physical disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration g-tubes, seizures, etc.
- Must have an open availability to work hours such as 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm or 11pm to 7am weekdays and/or weekends.

Note: This position is for our Toronto location (2295 St. Clair Avenue W) Pay: $20.50 per hour
