Production Technician, Demold

Monday to Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, with a 30 minute lunch break

Industry Nine builds mountain bike wheels and components in North America. Our Kamloops facility is where our carbon rims are made, from raw material to finished rim, under one roof. Every rim that leaves this building was handled by the people who work here.

We are hiring a production technician for our demold area. This is an entry level position. You do not need composites experience to apply. You need to be careful with your hands, steady in a busy environment, and willing to learn the process properly.

The Work

Demold sits between the cure and the finished rim. You will prepare molded components for oven processing, then break down the aluminum molds and remove the cured parts once they come out. The molds are the most valuable tooling in the building and they are handled by hand every day. A scratched or damaged mold takes a tool out of rotation and costs the whole floor. Protecting them is the core of this job.

The pace is steady and the process is written down. Your day runs on following it closely, catching problems early, and keeping molds moving back into the cycle so the layup team is never waiting on you.

What You Will Do

- Prepare molded carbon components for oven processing and stage them according to the production schedule.
- Break down molds and remove cured parts without damaging tooling or product.
- Inspect molds after each cycle, clean and prep them, and report any wear or damage right away.
- Follow written process and record what you have done so the next shift knows where things stand.
- Keep your area clean, organized, and safe for everyone working around you.
- Work with the layup, finishing,



and quality teams to keep parts flowing through the building.

What We Are Looking For

- Physically fit. You will be on your feet for most of the shift. Hydraulic lift tables carry the heaviest of the load in demold, and we will show you how to use them, but you should be comfortable lifting up to 70 lb on your own when the job calls for it.
- Careful hands and real attention to detail. The tooling is expensive and the parts are unforgiving.
- Comfortable in a fast paced production workplace where the schedule matters.
- Able to follow a written process exactly, and speak up when something looks wrong instead of pushing it through.
- Reliable. Your team counts on you being here and ready at the start of the shift.
- Manufacturing, trades, or shop experience is a plus. It is not required. We will train the right person.
