Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Coordinator to lead the development and execution of an engaging radio documentary series focused on inclusive history and stories surrounding train & rail history. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with talented storytellers, researchers, and media professionals to produce compelling content that educates and inspires audiences. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, creative flair, and a passion for interviewing and storytelling through audio and visual media.

Your role will be pivotal in coordinating all phases of production, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the series.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate all aspects of the documentary series production, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with researchers, storytellers, interview team, and sound designers to develop content that aligns with project goals
- Manage timelines and ensure milestones are met by overseeing daily progress and adjusting plans as needed
- Assist in the creation of promotional materials
- Support audio editing processes utilizing wave-pad & audacity programs
- Organize and maintain project documentation,



including scripts, storyboards, schedules, and grant agreements
- Facilitate communication among volunteer team members, staff, and external partners to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues promptly

Requirements

- Proven experience in project coordination or management within media production or related fields
- Strong familiarity with transcription technology
- Knowledge of audio editing software such as audacity is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under tight deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with team members and community partners
- Passion for storytelling through radio documentaries or audio visual media is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
