Thriving Ivy Counselling & Psychotherapy is a specialized online practice dedicated to helping adults overcome the effects of complex trauma.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 2+ years of experience providing direct client counselling and is comfortable providing online psychotherapy
- Is knowledgeable about the impact of relational and complex trauma
- Can blend psychodynamic, humanistic and relational approaches to provide effective psychotherapy
- Can build strong therapeutic alliances quickly and is confident in their abilities
- Is motivated to grow their caseload
- Is comfortable doing consultations with potential clients
- Is looking to carry a caseload of 10+ sessions weekly
- Has excellent written and communication skills
- Enjoys independence and flexibility

Your job will include:
- Managing own business phone number
- Managing and retaining a caseload of regular clients using the practice’s scheduling policies
- Client consultations, intake and creation of therapeutic plans
- Providing safe and effective individual online psychotherapy
- Timely completion of client case notes
- Collecting fees from clients through the practice's software
- Adhering to all laws, rules and regulations stipulated by pertinent regulatory bodies
Job requirements:
- Own computer with a stable internet connection.
- Own phone and business phone line
- Own private space to provide services
- Has a graduate degree in a counselling-related field
- Minimum of 5 million dollars in professional liability insurance
- Current registration in good standing with a regulatory body (e.g., CRPO, OCSWSSW, CPO) and is authorized to practice psychotherapy in Ontario independently (i.e. not a qualifying category)
