Duration: 12 Months Contract

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite/ in-office presence required 3x/week)

Responsibilities

- Contribute to development efforts, including enhancements, automation, and system improvements.

- Collaborate with business users and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions.

- Improve system stability, performance, and operational efficiency through automation and tooling.

- Participate in release deployment, testing, and production rollout activities.

- Ensure high-quality standards and controls are maintained in a fast-paced environment.

- Be included in the weekly team rotation of production system monitoring.

- Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes and improvements.

- Continuously learn financial products, business workflows, and current technologies.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on issues and deliverables.





Requirements

- Strong programming experience in Python.

- Experience with scripting languages (Shell scripting).

- Experience with data analysis and querying (e.g., Sybase, SQL, Excel).

- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

- C OR Java programming skills and experience.

- Knowledge of Fixed Income products, especially MBS.

- Experience supporting production systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

- Understanding of risk and pricing systems.

- Experience with KDB/Q or functional programming.

- Familiarity with manual and automated testing.

- Experience with AI-assisted coding.

- Experience with Perl scripting languages.
