Float4 is looking for a Software QA Intern to join the team behind Realmotion™, our proprietary software platform used to create interactive and immersive experiences for internationally renowned clients.
This is an excellent prospect to gain hands-on experience within an experienced multidisciplinary team while contributing to the improvement of software used in interactive audiovisual productions.

As our projects evolved, we recognized the need for tools specifically designed for this emerging industry. This led us to develop Realmotion™, our proprietary software platform that powers many of our immersive experiences.
- Responsibilities Reporting to the Realmotion Operations Manager, you will contribute to the continued development and improvement of the platform.
- Realmotion Software Quality Assurance
- Learn the Realmotion platform
- Design and implement QA tests for software components
- Perform software performance testing
- Test integrations with various sensors
- Report software bugs to the Realmotion team
- Update and track bugs in Jira
- Realmotion Platform Development
- Learn the Realmotion platform
- Create new Realmotion templates
- Update and improve existing templates
- Assist the Realmotion Operations Manager in developing tutorials and user documentation
You will be supported throughout your internship and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the industry.
- Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education in computer science or a related field A recent degree (or expected graduation) in Computer Science, Software Development, Interactive Media, Game Development, or a related field.
- Experience with node-based software (TouchDesigner / Unreal Blueprint / Notch) You are comfortable navigating node-based real-time visual programming environments.
- Programming knowledge (Python / JavaScript / C# / Lua, etc.) A solid understanding of programming fundamentals.
- Audiovisual knowledge
- Familiarity with audiovisual equipment such as projectors, LED displays, LED lighting, etc.
- Knowledge of AV communication protocols (DMX, ArtNet, TCP/IP, UDP, OSC, etc.)
- Portfolio or website A portfolio, website, or personal projects demonstrating your technical and/or creative abilities.
- Desired Qualities
- Attention to detail and thoroughness Attention to detail and a rigorous work methodology, including the use of good workflow practices, are essential for this role.
- Communication skills
- Explicit communication is essential.
- You will be expected to communicate effectively with the Realmotion Operations Manager and other members of the team.
- Technical and creative problem-solving skills
- Various issues may arise in a software quality assurance testing environment. You must be able to accurately identify the source of a problem and find appropriate solutions.
- Always maintain a problem-solving mindset.
- Adaptability Remain flexible and maintain a positive attitude in your approach to work. You must be prepared to adjust your methods in response to changing circumstances or feedback.
