Our location provides care for preschool and toddler children and implements an emergent curriculum with a focus on nature and loose part.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging educational activities. You will work closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure that each child's individual needs are met while promoting a love for learning.
Requirements
- All necessary qualifications and credentials as required by the Ministry of Education
- Membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE'S ONLY)
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED Certification
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Knowledge and experience working with the ELECT and HDLH? ”
- Experience working with Toddlers and preschool
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote educational growth and development.
- Educate children in various subjects, including language, math, science, and social skills.
- Foster a protected and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Lead classroom activities that promote teamwork and social interaction among students.
- Organize classroom materials and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Work collaboratively with other educators to support children with special education needs or working persons with disabilities.
- Utilize effective time management skills to balance teaching responsibilities and administrative tasks
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and Best Practices
- Ability to create engaging and educational activities for children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Experience
- A background in early childhood education is essential, with experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Leadership skills are highly valued as you will guide young learners in their daily activities.
- Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage lesson planning and classroom dynamics effectively.
- Excellent communication skills are required to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience or training in special education is a plus, enabling you to support diverse learning needs within the classroom.
