As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Casa Program. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Montessori educators in a collaborative and child-centred environment.

Position Summary The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) plays an important role in supporting the growth and development of children in our Casa classrooms within an authentic Montessori environment. Working collaboratively with the Montessori classroom teacher and reporting to the Supervisor, the RECE will help create a calm, engaging, and nurturing classroom that promotes independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and passionate about supporting children while building strong relationships with families and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and engaging Casa classroom environment.
- Support children's academic, social, emotional, and physical development through a child-centred approach.
- Work collaboratively with the Montessori classroom teacher to implement authentic Montessori practices.
- Work collaboratively with the Supervisor, Montessori classroom teachers,



and fellow educators to ensure high-quality programming and a positive learning environment.
- Observe, document, and communicate children's progress while maintaining accurate records.
- Foster independence, confidence, and respectful relationships among students.
- Support daily classroom routines, transitions, and learning activities.
- Build positive and professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, career development opportunities, and school events.
- Assist with educational outings, special events, and other school activities as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Guelph Montessori School.

QualificationsRequired
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Demonstrated passion for working with children ages 2.5–6 years.
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain before employment).

Preferred
- Previous experience working in a Montessori Casa classroom.




- Montessori training or coursework is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working in a licensed childcare or independent school setting.
