As a Registered Mental Health Clinician, you will provide psychological services including but not limited to assessment and psychotherapy treatment for employees and family members of the Calgary Police Service (CPS).

Primary duties include

Assess and treat clients with various presenting issues and psychological profiles, which may include workplace stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood and anxiety disorders, relationship challenges, and/or substance use and addiction concerns.

Communicate with clinical teams and when appropriate external agencies such as the Worker's Compensation Board and external therapists.

Provide leadership and support in organizational wellness activities.

Deliver education sessions to employees, clients, and to public audiences.





Qualifications A master's degree in Psychology, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a mental health setting.

Must be registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and in good standing with authorization to provide diagnosis and treatment in Alberta.

Experience with the delivery of evidence-based therapy (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)) is required.

Experience with the delivery of evidence-based trauma therapy (i.e.

Prolonged

Exposure, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy) is required.

Therapy experience working with first responders is an asset.
