The Emergency RN’s role is to provide thorough assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, or restoring health, preventing illness, injury and disability. Your duties include triaging, patient care and assessing admissions, managing safe discharges or transfers to other units, and prioritizing care needs for the Emergency Department population while working closely within professional interdisciplinary and interdepartmental teams.

Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.
You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.
PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Current Basic Cardiac Life
Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications: 2 years' experience on a surgical or acute care medical unit. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Demonstrated strong prioritization and assessment skills. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience. Triage nurse experience. ACLS. TNCC. Cardiac monitoring/ECG interpretation. Familiarity with Connect Care.
